Perdue Reveals New Chicken Plus Chicken and Veggie Nuggets

Offering a potential solution for getting kids to eat their vegetables, Perdue has come up with new Chicken Plus Dino Nuggets, Tenders, and Patties made with a blend of chicken and vegetables.

Specifically, the line blends a combination of cauliflower, chickpeas, and plant protein into the frozen chicken nuggets, tenders, and patties. The resulting product is good for one-quarter cup of vegetables per serving.

According to Perdue, the new line is a response to the growing popularity of plant-based proteins and aimed towards "flexitarian families who are hungry for new ways to fill the vegetable void without sacrificing flavor or nutrition."

The Perdue Chicken Plus line is set to arrive nationally starting September 2019. The suggested price for a 22-oz bag will be $6.99.
