McDonald's Oreo Shamrock McFlurry features vanilla soft serve mixed with Oreo wafer pieces and the same mint-flavored Shamrock syrup as the Shamrock Shake.
I went and bought one for
$2.89.
As you might be able to tell from the pictures, they didn't mix my McFlurry all that well to the point where the soft serve was still mostly white. I stirred it up for a good minute myself to get the green color seen in the last picture.
The soft serve was smooth and creamy with a light vanilla flavor mixed with a mild and pleasant mint flavor. It never reaches toothpaste level and will not leave your mouth feeling minty fresh.
The Oreos added an enjoyable crunch and familiar chocolaty quality.
When it comes down to it, McDonald's Oreo Shamrock McFlurry makes for a nice minty alternative to a regular Oreo McFlurry and is ideal for fans of mint cookies and cream ice cream (but with extra crunch). As a fan of cookies and cream ice cream in general, I like it better than the
Shamrock Shake.
