I got one for $3.89. You can also get it as part of a combo with a small order of Seasoned Potatoes and a small drink or coffee for $5.99.
My first impression is that this is a very square sandwich. The croissant bun is square and fits perfectly over the square sausage patty, in contrast to the typical round bun and square patty combo you find on Wendy's burgers. It had a dense crumb and a slightly flaky crust, with a very light note of butter. The croissant bun maintained its integrity through to the last bite and didn't end up all squished.
From the pictures of Sausage, Egg, and Swiss Croissant, I was unable to tell that the Swiss was actually a cheese sauce rather than a melted slice, so it was a bit of a surprise when I got the sandwich. The sauce had a light consistency that was just thick enough not to drip, but it definitely wasn't gooey like you would typically expect from a cheese sauce. There was a nice Swiss flavor with a light tangy note that made me think of a very mild, but cheesy, hollandaise.
The egg was cooked through but not rubbery, just enough to get a bit of that crispy fried egg texture. Fitting in with the square theme, even the egg was folded into a square-like shape to fit on the croissant bun.
