The side features wedges of creamy mac and cheese that have been battered and then deep-fried until crispy.
They can be purchased in an order of six Mac n Cheese Bites for $3 or in a Jack's Mini Munchies (a variety sampler of sides) along with onion rings and seasoned curly fries.
Interestingly, Jack in the Box once released a similar product for a limited time all the way back in 2008 called "Cheesy Macaroni Bites." Cheesy Macaroni Bites were similarly wedges shaped and featured Kraft cheese and a "tempura-style" coating.
