An 8.5 oz. bag has a suggested price of $3.79, but I got this bag courtesy of Kettle Brand.
Kettle-cooked chips are thick-cut and have a distinctive and firm crunch in comparison to classic-style potato chips. The thicker cut of the chips seems to help with limiting the oily taste and emphasizing the actual potato flavor.
Because Parmesan cheese is quite salty, I was expecting a pretty punchy flavor for the Parmesan Garlic Potato Chips and they delivered. There's a noticeable funk to the chips, which I appreciate because it actually tastes like the aged, hard cheese in its namesake. In combination with the pungent flavor of the garlic, there was a noticeable savoriness to the chips that was quite satisfying.
Kettle Brand Parmesan Garlic Potato Chips really honor the robust flavors of its two seasoning components. I personally enjoyed them quite a bit, but I can see how the strong Parmesan flavor could be off-putting or bitter to some.
