A 11.5-oz package carries a suggested price of $3.99 but these are normally $2.99 at my local supermarket. I received this courtesy of Keebler.
Popping open the package yields a pleasant, strong maple aroma that is matched by the creamy, maple flavor of the fudge. The fudge is smooth and rather melty, which makes these a little messy to eat, especially in hot weather.
The cookie itself is the same as what you'd find in their original chocolate fudge-covered Fudge Stripes. It's crispy, a little crumbly, and reminds me somewhat of a graham cracker. The word "shortbread" might conjure up images of a buttery cookie, but that's not what you're getting here. It's not particularly rich as far as the cookie goes.Overall, Keebler Maple Creme Fudge Stripe Cookies make a solid, if messier, alternative to maple creme cookie sandwiches. Grab it if you prefer to have a finger on the creme side of the cookie-versus-creme scale.Nutritional Info - Keebler Maple Creme Fudge Stripe Cookies
