McDonald's Offers Deals Inspired by Holiday Characters through December 24, 2020

Starting today through December, 24, 2020, McDonald's is featuring a deal inspired by a different holiday character each day that purports to offer a menu item that the character would like for free with a minimum $1 purchase through the McDonald's app.

You can find each day's offer in the deals section of the app. Here is a list of the free menu item for each day as well as the character that inspired the selection (the connection between some of the items and the characters seem a bit of a stretch):

- December 14, 2020 - Free Double Cheeseburger for the Griswolds from the movie National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

- December 15, 2020 - Free Big Mac for the Abominable Snowman.

- December 16, 2020 - Free Egg McMuffin for The Grinch from the story How the Grinch Stole Christmas!.

- December 17, 2020 - Free McDouble for John McClane from the movie Die Hard.

- December 18, 2020 - Free medium fries for Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

- December 19, 2020 - Free 6-piece Chicken McNuggets for Gizmo from the movie Gremlins.

- December 20, 2020 - Free Hotcakes for Buddy the Elf from the movie Elf.

- December 21, 2020 - Free hot or iced brewed coffee or any size for Scrooge from the story A Christmas Carol (it should definitely be a small if we're talking pre-ghost visit Scrooge).

- December 22, 2020 - Free McFlurry of any size for Frosty the Snowman.

- December 23, 2020 - Free bakery item (Apple Fritter, Cinnamon Roll, or Blueberry Muffin) for Frank Costanza "and the rest of us" from the TV show Seinfeld (to celebrate Festivus of course).

- December 24, 2020 - Free 2-pack or 3-pack of cookies for Santa Claus (there's no $1 minimum on this one).
