Church's Updates Chicken Tenders to New Texas Tenders

Church's Chicken gives a revamp to their chicken tenders so that they're now replaced with new Texas Tenders.

A permanent menu item, Texas Tenders are described as "big and bold." They're marinated in buttermilk, hand-breaded in the chain's signature seasoning blend, and then fried until golden and crispy. Texas Tenders come paired with a new dipping sauce, Smoky Honey-Q, which features a blend of BBQ sauce, honey mustard, and a hint of seasoning (and sounds somewhat like Chick-fil-A Sauce).

Church's marks the launch of Texas Tenders by making them a part of the limited-time $5 Tenders 'N Shrimp combo meal. The Tenders 'N Shrimp meal arrives in the lead up to Lent and includes two Texas Tenders, four Crispy Shrimp, fries, a Honey-Butter Biscuit, and cocktail sauce.

The new tenders follows the launch of Church's new Chicken Sandwich in October of last year. The name takes its cue from the chain's state of origin (they actually go by "Texas Chicken" outside of the US).
