The four new Melts & Bowls options include:
- Nashville Hot Chicken Melt - A crispy-fried chicken breast filet tossed in Nashville hot sauce and served with Swiss cheese, tomato, pickles, and mayo on grilled Texas toast. Wavy cut fries are included on the side.
- The Big Dipper Melt (pictured) - Pot roast with melted Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, and mayo on grilled Texas toast. It comes with French onion au jus for dipping and a side of wavy-cut fries
- Mama D's Pot Roast Bowl - Pot roast with roasted carrots, celery, and onions served over red-skinned mashed potatoes and smothered in gravy. Dinner bread is included.
- Chicken Addiction Bowl - Seasoned grilled chicken breast with broccoli, grilled mushrooms, and creamy Alfredo sauce over whole-grain rice. Dinner bread comes on the side.
Prices vary but range from $11.59 to $13.59 here in Los Angeles. Denny's first featured Bowls and Melts late last year.
Also, Denny's adds a new dessert to the menu with the arrival of the new Signature Skookie (a "skillet cookie"). It's a warm chocolate chip cookie with a molten chocolate center served in a personal skilled and topped with premium vanilla ice cream and salted caramel. It's priced at $4.99 in my neck of the woods (may vary).
Denny's continues to offer the Super Slam with prices starting at $6.99 (it's $8.99 in my area). The Super Slam includes two buttermilk pancakes, two sausage links, two bacon strips, two eggs, and hash browns.
