According to Edy's and Dreyer's, Rocky Road ice cream was first created by their founders, William Dreyer and Joseph Edy. The collection is both a nod to their heritage and an homage to the popular ice cream flavor.
There are six flavors being grouped together as the Rocky Road Collection; some new, some not. Here's what you can expect:
- The Original Rocky Road - Chocolate ice cream with almonds and bite-sized marshmallows.
- Mocha Almond Avenue - Coffee ice cream with swirls of fudge and almonds.
- Chocolate Peanut Butter Park - Chocolate ice cream with creamy peanut butter and chocolate-covered peanut butter cups.
- New Salted Caramel Pretzel Path - Salted caramel ice cream with swirls of fudge, chocolaty-covered toffee, and chocolatey-covered salted pretzels
- New Brownie Brick Road - Sweet cream ice cream with brownie pieces, brownie batter swirls, and brownie brittle pieces.
- New Cookie Cobblestone - A twist on s'mores that consists of chocolate ice cream with chocolate sandwich cookies, marshmallow swirls, and cookie dough chunks.
You can find the Rocky Road Collection in 1.5 quart containers at retailers nationwide for a suggested price of $5.99. Brownie Brick Road and Cookie Cobblestone are also available in 14-oz containers in select stores for a suggested price of $2.99.
