Review: McDonald's - Caramel Brownie McFlurry

McDonald's Caramel Brownie McFlurry features vanilla soft serve mixed with brownie pieces and caramel sauce.

I paid $2.89 for one.

This was a fairly easy lift for McDonald's as it's basically a caramel sundae with brownie pieces mixed in.

The brownie chunks came in a good size--not so big that you're just getting a mouthful of brownie but not so small that you're just eating crumbs. They had a nice chocolaty flavor and a decently moist, chewy texture to them.

Caramel and chocolate are a classic combination that was fairly well balanced here. The caramel wasn't particularly rich or buttery but provided a sweet caramelly flavor that went well with the fudgy taste of the brownies. The vanilla soft serve contributed a mellow and creamy accent to the pair.

Taken altogether, McDonald's Caramel Brownie McFlurry worked out really well with a brownie a la mode feel that skewed more towards the ice cream end of things.
