Flip'd by IHOP Fast Casual Concept Set to Open First Location This Summer

Flip'd by IHOP, which was originally set to launch last year in their pre-pandemic plan, is now slated to open their first location in New York City this summer.

The original plan revealed in 2019 was to focus mainly on large metropolitan cities but they're now expanding the scope of the concept to "larger metropolitan areas, suburban areas, and non-traditional venues."

The IHOP-inspired fast casual restaurant concept is meant to offer convenient (with delivery and takeout) and fast, made-to-order breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Whereas IHOP is geared towards sit-down dining, Flip'd is aimed more at the on-the-go crowd. At Flip'd, you'll be able to order at a counter, digital kiosk, or in advance online. There's a designated to-go area for pick up and delivery will also be available.

In addition to the New York City location planned for this summer, the concept is also looking at opening three more locations in Lawrence, Kansas; Columbus, Ohio; and Dublin, Ohio later this year. 

The Flip'd by IHOP menu offers a fair amount of variety and includes:

- Pancake Bowls - Made-to-order pancakes (you can also opt for steel-cut oatmeal or vanilla Greek yogurt as a base instead) with various mix-ins and toppings. You can choose from Signature recipes or build your own. Mix-ins and toppings include blueberries, strawberries, fruit compotes, chocolate chips, sprinkles, caramel sauce, and more.

- Egg Combos with choice of breakfast meats.

- Egg Sandwiches - Eggs made however you like served with various toppings on a toasted brioche bun.

- Burritos and Bowls - Choices include The Garden with scrambled eggs, cheesy crispy potatoes, baby arugula & spinach, sauteed mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, sliced avocado, and avocado cream; The Late Night with diced Black Angus Steakburger, Jack & Cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, roasted tomatoes, pickles, and IHOP sauce served over cheesy French fries; and more

- Ultimate Sandwiches with a choice of Black Angus Steakburger, Buttermilk Crispy Chicken, or Grilled Chicken Breast.

- Fresh-pressed orange juice and signature coffee brews, including nitro cold brew and specialty espresso beverages.

- Grab-and-go salads and wraps, freshly-baked goods, and more.
