Coors Light Brews Limited-Edition Beer Made from Hockey Ice

Coors Light, as part of their partnership with the Tampa Bay Lightning NHL hockey team, celebrates the team's championship win by brewing a limited-edition beer (they're calling it "Champions Ice") that's made from the actual ice that this year's NHL finals were played on.

According to Coors, they scraped and collect the ice from the rink and transported it to their brewery in Golden, Colorado to brew the limited-edition brew. Given that a bunch of hockey players were skating and tumbling all over said ice, Coors filtered the ice using reverse osmosis membrane ultra-filtration during the brewing process.

Coors Light Champions Ice is slated to be available for a limited time, while supplies last, at participating Tampa Bay bars beginning the week of July 12, 2021. There will also be a limited run of collectable 32-oz crowlers (a crowler is a giant can; like a growler but a can) as well.
