McDonald's Celebrates 50 Years in Australia with New Birthday McFlurry

McDonald's marks 50 years since opening their first Australian location by offering the new Birthday McFlurry for a limited time in the country.

The Birthday McFlurry features vanilla soft serve mixed with pieces of the returning Custard Pie, topped with caramel sauce and sprinkles.

The limited-time Custard Pie can also be purchased on its own and is a fried turnover-style pie filled with warm, creamy custard.

While McDonald's started here in the US in 1940, they didn't make it to Australia until 1971.
