Panda Express Tests Beyond Meat Version of Orange Chicken at Select LA and NYC Locations Starting July 26, 2021

Panda Express tests a Beyond Meat version of their signature Orange Chicken that they're calling "Beyond The Original Orange Chicken" starting Monday, July 26, 2021 and running for a limited time at select locations in Southern California and New York City.

The new menu item features crispy-fried pieces of plant-based Beyond Chicken wok-tossed in signature The Original Orange Chicken sauce.

The idea here is for Beyond The Original Orange Chicken to have the same flavor and texture as the chain's Orange Chicken but with plant-based protein. While the Beyond The Original Orange Chicken is plant-based, it's not quite vegan as it's prepared in the same woks as the rest of the chain's dishes.
