The move makes country-style ribs, which are actually strips cut from the pork butt (shoulder), the latest addition to Arby's meat repertoire. They're called "ribs" though because they have a similar taste and texture to pork ribs.
Arby's Country-Style Pork Rib sandwich features Texas pit-smoked country-style pork rib (from the same smokehouse that makes their brisket), smoked Gouda cheese, crispy-fried onion strings, Smoky BBQ sauce, and mayo on a toasted star-top bun.
You can expect it to cost $5.79 or so (varying with location).
Based on advertisements for the new sandwich, Arby's seems to be positioning it as a better, more upscale alternative to McDonald's McRib.
