Chipotle's Smoked Brisket features brisket made from Responsibly Raised beef that's been smoked, then charred on a grill, and seasoned with "Mexican" spices, including fire-roasted jalapenos and chipotle chili peppers. It's then chopped and finished with a new Brisket sauce that's made with smoky chili peppers.
Prices vary but in my area, a Smoked Brisket burrito, burrito bowl, or salad is $10.50 (compared to $9.50 for steak or barbacoa, $8.65 for carnitas, and $8.15 for chicken, veggie, or Sofritas).
According to the chain, brisket was "consistently among the top requested menu items by Chipotle guests." They tested the protein option in Cincinnati, Ohio and Sacramento, California during the fall of last year.
While Chipotle's Smoked Brisket launches September 23, 2021, it won't be available to order via third-party apps until September 27, 2021.
To promote the new product launch, Chipotle will be offering a $0 delivery fee on all Smoked Brisket orders made via the Chipotle app or website from September 27 through October 3, 2021.
