I paid $6.99 for the burger in a combo with small fries (which I substituted with an egg roll for no charge) and a small drink (the burger by itself is $6.29).
I ended up having to get the Cheddar Loaded Cheeseburger twice as the first one that I got had a sizeable spot of mold on the bottom of the bun (I'm guessing due to the cheese on it as there was a moldy cheese smell to it).
Jack in the Box's cheddar bun came covered from top to bottom with splotches of toasted cheddar. There wasn't any crunch or crispiness to it but it was good for a bit of toasty cheddar flavor in every bite. The bread portion was soft and somewhat dense without much spring to it.
The cheddar ranch was interesting as it had a cheddar-like nuttiness to it but divorced from any cheddar-like cheesiness. I guess you could say it was like a nutty ranch. I only noticed it when I tried the ranch on its own though. Also, perhaps the sauce was too thin or the lettuce was too wet, but there was a virtual slip-n-slide between the lettuce and the bun while I was trying to eat the Cheddar Loaded Cheeseburger.
The lettuce and tomato were fairly fresh and the tomato slices were firm.
The cheese slice was nicely melted and the beef patty offered a good width and thickness for the burger as well as a decent sear on its surface.
When it comes down to it, Jack in the Box's Cheddar Loaded Cheeseburger took a pretty standard burger configuration and gave it a good amount of cheddar flair that amounted to a mild but steady cheddar note throughout. That being said, I wouldn't say it's "loaded" with cheddar.
