A 20-oz bottle goes for $1.99 or so but I received this courtesy of Mountain Dew.
The soda actually smelled like gingerbread, which was a little weird since it's a smell I associate with a warm baked good, but it's not unpleasant. There's actually caramel color listed among the ingredients, but visually, Mountain Dew Gingerbread Snap'd is a somewhat opaque white color that's typically called "frost" as far as drinks go.
With a name like "Gingerbread Snap'd," I was expecting the soda to offer a bold and punchy gingerbread flavor, but it was actually pretty mellow in general and worked out all the better for it. Upfront, there was a slightly tangy Mountain Dew flavor followed by a toasty spiced gingerbread finish. Both flavors were relatively light and refreshing.
Overall, Mountain Dew Gingerbread Snap'd turned out to be fairly enjoyable with a gingerbread flavor that worked better than I thought it would. I'd drink it if it was put out at a meal or party but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it.
