Burger King Tests New Whopper Melts in Toledo, OH

Burger King looks to stretch the Whopper name with a test of new Whopper Melts for a limited time at select Toledo, OH locations.

The key features of the Whopper Melts are two flame-grilled Whopper Jr. beef patties (adding up to a quarter-pound of pre-cooked weight) rather than a single Whopper beef patty (also a quarter-pound) with melted American cheese on toast.

Burger King's Whopper Melts come in three varieties:

- Whopper Melt - Two slices of toast sandwiching two flame-grilled Whopper Jr. beef patties, two slices of American cheese, caramelized onions, and Stacker Sauce.

- Spicy Whopper Melt - Two flame-grilled Whopper Jr. beef patties, two slices of American cheese, caramelized onions, jalapenos, and a creamy spicy sauce, served between two slices of toast.

- Bacon Whopper Melt - Two slices of toast layered with two flame-grilled Whopper Jr. beef patties, two slices of American cheese, caramelized onions, bacon, and Stacker Sauce.
