I got a 9.5-oz bag on sale for $2.
These were generally about as spicy as Flamin' Hot Cheetos, which, for me, gets somewhat uncomfortably hot about 5 or 6 chips in. The Cool Ranch portion doesn't do much to cool it down.
I say, "generally" as the Flamin' Hot seasoning covers the chips with a lot more variance than I typically find in a bag of Doritos. The result is that a good number of chips taste like a spicy version of the creamy, herby Cool Ranch, while others offer more of the heat and cheddar tang of Flamin' Hot seasoning. It's actually pretty nice, as it makes for a good bit of variety.
As with the rest of the Doritos line, the chips have a bit more of a bubbly, crispier crunch versus regular tortilla chips.
Overall, I enjoyed Doritos Flamin' Hot Cool Ranch Tortilla Chips a good deal for the bold, spicy ranch flavor. Plus, the heat stops me from eating too many of them in one sitting (although the savory notes from the MSG makes me want to keep on going).
