The Kentucky Scorcher features a crispy-fried chicken breast filet covered with its signature Kentucky Scorcher sauce and served with spicy mayo and pickles on a toasted bun.
According to KFC, Kentucky Scorcher sauce hits 13,500 heat units on the Scoville scale, which measures the heat of chili peppers. That would be about the same heat as eating a Serrano pepper. In comparison, Tabasco Pepper sauce ranges from 2,500 to 5,000. Kentucky Scorcher sauce offers a combination of heat from Cayenne peppers and Carolina Reapers.
The tagline for the new spicy chicken sandwich is, "Finger Lickers Beware," which seems to be a bit of a play on the chain's "Finger Lickin' Good" slogan.
