Review: Jack in the Box - Nacho Tiny Tacos

Jack in the Box's Nacho Tiny Tacos feature seasoned meat-filled, deep-fried mini tacos dusted with nacho cheese seasoning.

I paid $3.49 for a box of 15 Tiny Tacos.

Jack in the Box's Tiny Tacos are like their regular tacos but almost bite-sized and without any cheese or lettuce. You get the same, occasionally oil-soaked, crunch from the shell and taco-seasoned meat slurry inside. They're kinda like a lower grade version of the frozen ones you buy in stores but they're an enjoyable, guilty pleasure.

The Nacho Cheese version adds a Doritos-adjacent cheese powder to the mix. My particular batch was pretty shoddy in the distribution of the powder though. It was as if they just shook the powder on in one spot and didn't bother to try to shake the tacos to spread the seasoning around. This left me with some very salty, cheesy Tiny Tacos as well as some that were almost completely lacking in any cheesiness. Compared to actual nacho cheese, the cheese powder added a bolder but less creamy cheddar cheese flavor that didn't soften the tacos.

Overall, Jack in the Box's Nacho Tiny Tacos came up with a nice complementary flavor to enhance the chain's regular Tiny Tacos without overwhelming them (except for the few tacos that got all the seasoning).
