It's normally $2.79 per donut or $16.99 as part of the Twix Specialty Dozen in these parts, but I received this courtesy of Krispy Kreme.
If you were hoping for some sort of deep-fried Twix effect, you'll be disappointed as they stuffed the Twix bar in after the donut has been fried, and there's a fairly sizable hole to mark its passage.
If you're asking if a Twix bar is any better stuffed inside a donut with Chocolate Kreme, I wouldn't say it's any better or worse. I could still taste the melty milk chocolate and stretchy caramel with an enjoyable crispy crunch from the cookie. It's really not any different than if you took a chocolate bar donut and a Twix bar, stacked them on top of each other, and ate them together. Which is to say, it's not a peanut butter and jelly revelation, but neither is it peanut butter and sardines (sorry, if that's your thing).
Outside of the Twix bar inside the donut, the bar donut itself was a bit on the day-old dry side. The chocolate icing was mostly sweet and mildly chocolaty, and I got light pops of caramel and milk chocolate from the Twix bits and dulce de leche drizzle. The Chocolate Kreme probably served just as a lubricant to glide the Twix bar easily into the donut, as there wasn't much of it and it just added a hint of light, creamy sweetness.
Basically, Krispy Kreme's Twix-filled bar donut (AKA the "Caramel Cookie Crunch Bar Donut filled with a Twix Cookie Bar") would probably taste better without the Twix bar inside and with just more crushed Twix pieces sprinkled on top. The Twix bar amounts to mostly shock factor and a candy bar you can pull out of the donut and enjoy.
