Panera Partners with Miso Robotics to Test AI Coffee Monitoring System

Panera partners with Miso Robotics, best known for their Flippy "robotic kitchen assisants"/ fryers, to test an artificial intelligence-powered coffee station monitoring system that they're calling, the "CookRight Coffee system."

The idea here seems to be to automatically monitor things like "volume, temperature, and time" of the coffee sitting out in the self-service urns without having someone run out to check the coffee manually. That way they can just check the system to know when to brew more coffee. The stated goal is "to guarantee a quality cup of coffee and a more efficient team member experience."

The test follows two years after the launch of Panera's unlimited coffee and tea drinks subscription.
