Like other Lindt products, the Classic Recipe OatMilk Chocolate Bar has a wonderfully smooth melting factor. Similar to milk chocolate, the plant-based chocolate bar has a rich creaminess and mild chocolate flavor that lingers in a creamy aftertaste. There is a hint of nutty flavor to the OatMilk Chocolate Bar, owing to the almond paste in the ingredients, which brings to mind Nutella and other such chocolate nut spreads. The sweetness level is comparable to other premium milk chocolate offerings, which is to say that it's less sweet than something like a Snickers bar but sweeter than dark chocolate.
The Lindt Classic Recipe OatMilk Salted Caramel Chocolate Bar adds in crunchy salted caramel pieces. The pieces themselves are very small, appearing more like flecks in each chocolate segment, but they're plentiful and provide a toffee-like crunch, albeit without the buttery notes. The salted caramel pieces are also notably salty, as far as caramel goes, and it's more apparent in the salty aftertaste.
Overall, Lindt Classic Recipe OatMilk Chocolate Bars are a wonderful, plant-based rendition of classic milk chocolate that tastes almost the same as the dairy-based version. The very mild nuttiness adds an additional depth to these OatMilk Chocolate Bars that I find quite enjoyable. These are delicious, and I'm looking forward to any additional flavors they might release in the future.
