A 7.3-oz bag carries a suggested price of $3.49 but I received this courtesy of Hostess.
Crispy Minis are basically Hostess' bite-sized take on creme/cream wafer cookies, which you have layers of airy, crisp wafers and layers of flavored creme (or actual cream in certain brands).
Compared to the creme wafer cookies that I've tried, Hostess version is certainly a bolder, sweeter take. It offers the tradition dichotomy of delicate crisped wafers and smooth creme but also a heavy dose of cool mint flavor, extra-crunchy, sweet bits sprinkled on top, and a mild chocolaty flavor.
The overall flavor definitely skews to mint over chocolate but I didn't find it off-putting.
Taken altogether, Hostess Mint Chocolate Crispy Minis turned out pretty well with a varied mix of textures and a sweet combination of flavors that probably plays well to the more sweet-inclined.
