I went and bought one for $2.49 (it's $2.99 at the other location in town).
Taco Bell actually used the same name for a much simpler burrito at one point. The latest version is basically the current, value-menu Beefy Melt Burrito but with double the beef (for the same price).
My particular Cheesy Double Beef Burrito sported a decent amount of beef and rice but lacked somewhat in the cheese department (with both nacho cheese and 3-cheese blend). It was wrapped fairly well and had a fairly even distribution of ingredients.
The beef and rice carried most of the flavor in the burrito with the classic seasoned flavor I pretty much only associate with Taco Bell. It's a nice enough flavor but got a bit monotonous as it covered up what little cheese and sour cream was in my burrito. I found myself wishing they had saw fit to put some Creamy Chipotle or Spicy Ranch sauce in the burrito.
The crunchy Fiesta strips were soft and a little chewy as usual from the heat and moisture inside the burrito. I wonder if thicker chips would hold their crunch a bit better?
Overall, Taco Bell's Cheesy Double Beef Burrito turned out just okay for me. The lack of cheese (your mileage may vary) left it a one-note affair that could have used some tang or freshness to liven things up.
