2022 Pillsbury Bake-Off Calls for No-Oven Recipes

The 2022 Pillsbury Bake-Off kicks off nationwide with a twist this year--contestants are required to use anything but a traditional oven to prepare their recipe. They're calling it the "Ovens Off Bake-Off Contest."

While the most popular non-oven baking method will likely involve an air-fryer, other methods that might see some action include a waffle iron, a grill, or a smoker.

According to Pillsbury, last year's contest saw an "increase in demand for recipes made outside the oven" and the this year's contest feeds into that trend.

This year's contest is the 51st one and will be completely virtual with a grand prize of $50,000 for the winner as well as a $50,000 donation from General Mills on the winner's behalf to a participating charity of their choice.
