A 3-count box of 3-fl-oz bars costs about $3.79 but I received this courtesy of Turkey Hill.
The peanut butter ice cream here had a very light tan color that I almost mistook for vanilla. Thankfully, the peanut butter flavor came through, although like the rest of the Dipped Duos line, it was pretty mild. Still, it went well with the light chocolaty notes from the chocolate ice cream and was still discernible against the richer, bolder notes of the milk chocolate shell.
The quality of the ice cream itself was nice. It was smooth, light, and creamy. It wasn't icy at all and wasn't melty.
Having tried the entire Turkey Hill Dipped Duos line at this point, I'd have to say the line definitely highlights the creamy milk chocolate shell over the flavor of the ice cream inside. It's to the point that they could have just gone with one flavor of ice cream inside for a more pronounced impact.
Of the four flavors (Caramel & Chocolate, Peanut Butter & Chocolate, Strawberry & Vanilla Bean, and Vanilla Bean & Chocolate), my preference is for the Peanut Butter & Chocolate and Strawberry & Vanilla Bean varieties for the greater contrast in taste.
