Hot Ones is a talk show where the host and celebrity interviewee eat progressively spicier chicken wings as the interview goes on.
The Shake Shack's Hot Ones menu includes the following items.
- Hot Ones Burger - An Angus beef burger topped with new Hot Ones Spicy ShackSauce, applewood-smoked bacon, and Monterey Jack cheese on a toasted potato bun. Prices start at $8.29 for the burger.
- Hot Ones Chicken - Crispy-fried, white-meat chicken topped with new Hot Ones Spicy ShackSauce, applewood-smoked bacon, and Monterey Jack cheese on a toasted potato bun. Prices start at $8.59 for the chicken sandwich.
- Hot Ones Cheese Fries - Crinkle-cut fries topped with cheese sauce and Aleppo pepper flakes, served with Hot Ones Spicy ShackSauce. Prices start at $5.09 for the fries.
- Hot Ones Bacon Cheese Fries - Crinkle-cut fries topped with applewood-smoked bacon, cheese sauce, and Aleppo pepper flakes, served with Hot Ones Spicy ShackSauce. Prices start at $6.29 for the fries.
Additionally, to turn up the heat in Hot Ones fashion, Shake Shack offers The Last Dab: Apollo packets for an additional charge ($1.99 near me). The Last Dab: Apollo is a hot sauce made from the Apollo pepper, which is a hybrid bred from Carolina Reaper and Pepper X strains by Guinness World Record holding chili breeder Smokin’ Ed Currie. Apparently, it is mostly Apollo peppers with very little vinegar if you're feeling brave (or just hate your mouth, stomach, and butt).
According to Shake Shack, the new Hot Ones Spicy ShackSauce rates a 7/10 for heat, while The Last Dab: Apollo sauce comes in at 11/10.
