Firehouse Subs' Prime Rib Steak Sub features seared and slow-cooked (by sous-vide) prime rib steak slices served with caramelized onions, melted provolone, tomato, deli mustard, and house-made garlic mayo on a toasted sub roll.
According to the chain, the new prime rib steak is seasoned, then brined, then seared, and then cooked sous vide to "create the most appetizing prime rib steak." It's then "gently heated" at each location in custom steamers before serving.
Prices vary but a medium sub goes for $9.49 here in Los Angeles (a small is $6.29, while a large is $12.99).
