Popeyes' take on the Thanksgiving bird features a whole turkey marinated in the chain's signature blend of Louisiana-style seasoning, slow-roasted, and then flash-fried to give it a crispy coating. Since it's pre-cooked, you just need to thaw and heat it up before serving.
It should cost about $50 to $60 (varies with location) if you're ordering by phone or in-person. If you're ordering online, it'll cost $94.99 (including shipping) and they'll begin shipping on October 24, 2022. The Cajun-Style Turkey takes one to three business days to arrive after shipping.
This year, Popeyes has put out an easy recipe for Cajun-Style Gravy to go with their turkey:
"Ingredients: 3 Tablespooons Flour, 1/8 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper, 1 cup Turkey Pan Drippings, 1 Cup Water
Directions: In a 2-quart saucepan, mix together the flour, pepper and 3 Tbsp drippings to make a paste. Turn stovetop temperature to medium-high, and gradually whisk in the remaining liquids to form a smooth gravy. Continue whisking briskly until mixture comes to a full boil and thickens. Boil 4-5 minutes. Serve with turkey. Makes 2 cups of gravy. Double recipe for 4 cups of gravy."
