A 7.4-oz box contains two individually-wrapped mini cakes and cost me $3.29.
While some sort of icing is shown on the box, it's not included although there's a recipe on the box to make a cream cheese frosting for the cakes. The cake tasted fine on its own though
According to the instructions, you can thaw out one of these for an hour or throw it in the microwave for about 25 seconds on high. I also tried them straight out of the freezer. It's actually pretty pleasant if you don't mind a cold (but not icy), denser, and slightly less flavorful experience.
Eating it warm, yielded a moist, airier, and more flavorful cake. It was sweet but not too sweet.
Flavor-wise, it felt a lot like pumpkin pie but in cake for. There was a heavy spice element, some caramel notes from the maple syrup, and an actual pumpkin flavor to it. The pecans were crushed and sporadic for a light nutty note and a slightly crunchy component.
Overall, Aldi Pumpkin Pecan Mini Bundt Cakes turned out really well with a fairly nuanced pumpkin spice flavor and nice texture. It's also really convenient if you happen to be eating alone since the cake are individually wrapped and are quick to prep.
