Taco Bell's Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco comes with either red sauce or nacho cheese sauce for dipping and goes for $2.99.
The Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco can also be ordered as part of a Deluxe Box for $7.99. The Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco Deluxe Box includes a Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco, Beef Chalupa Supreme, Beefy 5 Layer Burrito, Chips and Nacho Cheese Sauce, and a medium fountain drink.
Over in Nashville, participating locations offer the Shredded Beef Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco, which sees the same taco as the Minneapolis-St. Paul area but with a new, braised, shredded beef and a slightly higher price at $3.49.
The Shredded Beef Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco can be ordered a la carte or as part of a $5 Cravings Trio combo or Deluxe Box for $7.49.
The $5 Cravings Trio combo includes a Shredded Beef Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco, Doritos Locos Tacos, and a large fountain drink.
The Deluxe Box includes a Shredded Beef Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco, Seasoned Beef Chalupa Supreme, Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, Cinnamon Twists, and a medium fountain drink.
The Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco appears to be Taco Bell's take on a quesabirria ("quesa" being cheese and "birria" being a type of braised beef or goat) taco, which is typically a taco made by taking a corn tortilla dipping it in the braising broth (usually referred to as "consomme"), heating on a flat-top grill with cheese before adding the beef and condiments. It's often served with a small cup of consomme for dipping.
