I bought a 9.5-oz bag for $1.99.
In terms of the potato chip itself, it's very much like Lay's Wavy potato chips with a fairly light crunch and a wide, ridged texture.
"Garlic Mashed" seems like an odd name since "mashed" is an adjective in this case but I guess it would actually be "Garlic Mashed Wavy Potato Chips" here and "Garlic Mashed Potato Wavy Potato Chips" might feel a bit redundant.
The Garlic Mashed flavor offered a savory, creamy, garlicky flavor with a bit of a tang to it (for a slightly sour cream like feel?). There's also some parmesan in their for a salty, cheesy note to go with the underlying taste of fried potatoes.
Overall, Aldi's Garlic Mashed-flavored Wavy Potato Chips do indeed make for an enjoyable garlic mashed potato flavor but with a few extra bells and whistles from the slight tangy note and parmesan (which is a little fancier than I typically go with my mashed potatoes).
