Review: Aldi - Clancy's Turkey Stuffing Wavy Potato Chips

Aldi's Clancy's Turkey Stuffing Wavy Potato Chips feature wavy, ridged potato chips dusted with seasoning that's meant to taste like turkey stuffing (Clancy's is Aldi's private brand snack label).

A 9.5-oz cost me $1.99.

As far as texture goes, these Wavy Potato Chips offer the same crispy feel as Lay's Wavy chips. It's not too oily with a light crunch, while preserving a fried potato flavor.

In terms of seasoning, the Turkey Stuffing Wavy Potato Chips were fairly salty with a garlicky, onion-y herb flavor, which I suppose is what you typically get in with your standard stuffing but without the soggy and/or crispy bread component. There's a underlying savory quality but I couldn't say it tasted like turkey but, then again, turkey stuffing doesn't taste much like turkey either.

Overall, Aldi's Clancy's Turkey Stuffing Wavy Potato Chips were good for an addictive if generic stuffing flavor that balanced well with the potato chips. You could easily label them as "garlic herb" chips and I don't think anyone would bat an eye.
