The promotion features a faux class-action-lawsuit-style call-to-action where a phone number and website are provided where customers can "report their issue" and upload a receipt of their prior pizza purchase for the discount, which comes in the form of a promo code that can be redeemed online for $3 off a a pepperoni or cheese Detroit-Style Deep Dish pizza (which then comes out to $5.99).
The "$3 off" deal can be claimed by uploading a receipt for "a Detroit-Style pizza between 9/1 and 11/28 that wasn't from Little Caesars" to the website Little Caesars setup for the campaign (detroitstylecompensation.com). The promo code is good for use through December 18, 2022.
While Little Caesars didn't mention Pizza Hut directly, they're supplementing the national campaign with local media in the greater Plano, TX area, where Pizza Hut is headquartered (Little Caesars is headquartered in Detroit, MI). Taking cues from personal injury lawyer ads, the local campaign will include highway and transit boards and audio ads featuring "real-life" lawyers.
Pizza Hut just recently finished up their latest limited-time run of their Detroit-Style Pizza.
