Mtn Dew Pitch Black Returns in January 2023 Along with New Energy Drink Version

Mountain Dew brings back Mtn Dew Pitch Black back to store shelves nationwide for a limited-time run starting in January 2023. The soda flavor is joined by a new Zero Sugar version as well as a new Energy drink version.

Mtn Dew Pitch Black was first introduced in 2004 as a limited-time, black grape-flavored Mountain Dew soda and has been brought back occasionally.

It was made a permanent flavor in 2016 but was discontinued in 2019. It's described as a "dark citrus punch flavor with other natural flavors" this time around.

Interestingly, the Energy version has 5 percent juice (white grape juice concentrate), while the regular and Zero Sugar sodas do not contain any juice.
