An 8-count, 9.1-oz box costs $6.89 but I received this courtesy of Entenmann's.
The chocolaty coating was good for a smooth, slightly waxy, slightly melty texture with a moderate chocolaty flavor. There was a slightly bittersweet quality to it. The drizzle seemed like it was there mostly for looks and didn't add anything more. According to the ingredients, there's some chocolate mixed into the coating.
The cake portion was dense and fudgy with a decent moisture level to it. It was pretty smooth with a pretty intense chocolaty taste. There was a bit more richness to it versus the coating.
Taken altogether, Entenmann's Chocolate Delight Cake Truffles aren't terribly different from their Cookies & Creme Cake Truffles. The Cookies & Creme is a little bit creamier, while the Chocolate Delight is more chocolaty. Other than that, you're getting a higher-end, packaged snack cake with a fudgy texture.
