KFC Serves Up "Black Hot Chicken" for Black Pepper Lovers in Japan

KFC Japan serves up Black Hot Chicken for a limited time as fried chicken featuring both the heat and flavor of black pepper.

According to the chain, KFC's Black Hot Chicken features black pepper to marinate the chicken as well as in the fried batter. Specifically, the chicken is marinated with black pepper powder, while the batter contains more granulated black pepper.

Prices start at 280 yen (~$2.14 US) for one piece of Black Hot Chicken. They previously offered it in 2020. 

KFC Japan also offered "Red Hot Chicken" late last year. It featured the heat and flavor of chili peppers and habanero peppers.
