Walmart Reveals Top Five Items Delivered by Drone Last Year

Walmart expanded their drone delivery program in 2022 so that they now have 36 drone delivery hubs across seven states, including Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. As such, they're in a decent position to give an idea of what customers are ordering for drone delivery (which maxes out at 10 pounds).

The top five items delivered by drone from Walmart last year (in order) were:

• Great Value Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Pint
• 2-lb Bag of Lemons
• Freshness Guaranteed Hot Rotisserie Chicken
• 8.4-fl-oz can of Red Bull
• Bounty Select-a-Size Paper Towels

The 2-lbs of lemons are an interesting item at number two as the rest of the items seem to be more impulse buys for consuming or clean-up. Maybe some customers are making a lot of lemon bars or lemonade?

According to Walmart, they completed over 6,000 deliveries to customers in as little as 30 minutes over the span of 2022.
