A 14.9-oz box of four pastries cost me $4.00 on sale (it was normally $8).
The CinnaPastries all come on a single sealed tray rather than individual wrapped.
It took 30 seconds to heat one up from frozen and the CinnaPastry looked really good out of the box, especially for microwaved food as it actually looked like it had just been baked.
The form of the CinnaPastry brought to mind McDonald's Cinnamon Melts but it didn't fare as well in the taste and texture department.
The bread portion offered noticeable laminated layers but was somewhat dry and a bit chewy. The liquid-y frosting and brown sugar cinnamon in the middle helped it a bit but was just mostly in the center and there wasn't enough to spread around.
The frosting provided a sweet, creaminess with a slight tang but I could have used a bit more cinnamon to go with it.
The streusel on top was granulated but despite, looking like sugar, was very mild in flavor and sweetness.
Overall, Cinnabon's Frosting Filled CinnaPastry was a bit of a miss for me. While it was visually appealing, the general flavor was lacking and not well distributed. Your best bet if trying one would be to cut it up and mix it together to improve both taste and texture.
