An order of 8 Fiery Nuggets cost me $2.49.
The chicken nuggets themselves seemed to be Burger King's regular chicken nuggets. They had a craggy batter with bits of breading. They were springy, finely-ground, and juicy inside and crispy and oily without.
The spicy glaze wasn't really a glaze. While there's a touch of sweetness to it, it's an oil-based sauce similar to Nashville Hot sauce. In fact, I think they just took the sauce from the discontinued Spicy Ch'King (which they also called a "spicy glaze") and tossed their chicken nuggets in it.
Fortunately, the flavor worked out really well. The slight bit of sweetness added another layer of flavor to the light seasonings and medium heat of the sauce. Additionally, since the sauce was mostly oil, there was very little moisture to make the nuggets go soggy.
When it comes down to it, Burger King's Fiery Nuggets turned out really well in both texture and flavor, while remaining fairly easy on the wallet. There was a moderate but not tongue-scorching heat to go with an enjoyable flavor and crispy and soft elements.
