A 9.8-oz meal cost me $2.99 on sale.
While the frozen meal boasts "double chicken" it amounted to three small chunks of breaded chicken to go with six ravioli.
The breaded chicken were basically small nuggets with a mostly soggy breading from the microwave and Alfredo sauce. There was a nice seasoned flavor to it though and the chicken inside was moist.
The ravioli offered fairly firm, smooth pasta to go with a somewhat hard filling. It didn't feel like ricotta or chicken at all. Maybe the filling was pressed to tightly or cooked too long but it felt a little dry and powdery, which was weird and not enjoyable.
The sauce developed a good thickness with a savory creamy flavor but the mozzarella seemed to have just melted into it rather than providing any stretchy, gooey texture on its own. The red peppers added mostly a soft texture rather than any flavor I could pick out.
Overall, Devour's Double Chicken Creamy Alfredo was a miss for me (particularly for the ravioli). I probably would have enjoyed it more if they just went with simpler with just pasta, sauce, and chicken.
