An 11-oz bow was $2.99 on sale.
The sauce provided the base of the bowls flavor and offered a slightly creamy taste with a strong note of basil to go with a hint of nutty parmesan. The tomatoes were squishy and delivered a bit of tangy juice when bitten into.
The pasta was tender but not mushy with a smooth, slightly curled, flat texture that was good for a slightly different feel from the more typical long noodles (spaghetti, linguini, etc) or penne pastas that I often find in frozen meals.
The chicken was fairly typical with a mild flavor and slightly browning. The pieces were a decent size so that I got a good bite and chew from each one.
Overall, Marie Callender's Grilled Chicken Pesto Pasta Bowl turned out quite well. There was an enjoyable pesto flavor to go with the familiar chicken and pasta flavor with additional pops of tomato flavor.
