Subway Switches to Fresh-Sliced Meats and Adds New Deli Heroes Subs

Subway switches to fresh-sliced meats at each location and adds new Deli Heroes subs to showcase the operational change. The chain previously served pre-sliced deli meats.

According to Subway, the switch required the rollout of new deli meat slicers to over 20,000 Subway locations nationwide over a span of nine months.

To highlight the new fresh-sliced deli meats, Subway adds the Deli Heroes category to the Subway Series menu. Subway's new Deli Heroes include:

- Titan Turkey (#15) - Turkey (33% more turkey than their regular subs), double provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and mayo, served on Artisan Italian bread.

- Grand Slam Ham (#99) - Ham (33% more ham than their regular subs), double provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and mayo, served on Artisan Italian bread.

- Garlic Roast Beef (#17): Roast Beef, double provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and Roasted Garlic Aioli. Served on Artisan Italian bread.

- The Beast (#30): Pepperoni, salami, turkey, ham, roast beef (for a half-pound of deli meats), double provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, mayo, and MVP Vinaigrette, served on Artisan Italian bread.

To celebrate the new launch (and get people to try the new sandwiches) Subway will be offering up to 1 million free six-inch Deli Heroes subs at participating locations across the US on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 10AM to noon local time. Each participating location will offer up to 50 free 6-inch Deli Heroes subs in-store to the first customers to ask for one (limit one per customer) during the promotional period, while supplies last.
