Taking inspiration from birria tacos, Taco Bell's Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco features new, slow-braised, seasoned, shredded beef served with Creamy Jalapeño sauce inside of a fresh-fried-daily white corn taco shell (think Crispy Cantina Melt Taco) with a three-cheese blend (cheddar, mozzarella, and pepper jack) melted inside the shell as well as grilled on the outside of the shell. Each taco comes with warm nacho cheese sauce and savory red sauce for dipping.
The Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco carries a suggested price of $3.49 each. It's also being offered in the Shredded Beef Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco Deluxe Box for a suggested price of $7.99. The box meal includes a Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco, Chalupa Supreme, Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, Chips and Nacho Cheese Sauce, and a medium fountain drink.
According to Taco Bell, they spent nearly two years working on the recipe for the new shredded beef and the introduction of the new taco comes after a successful test last year.
