McDonald's Peanut Butter Crunch McFlurry features vanilla soft serve mixed with "crispy cereal mix and chocolaty peanut butter cookie pieces."
I went and got one for $3.29.
According to the McDonald's website, the "crispy cereal mix and chocolaty peanut butter cookie pieces" consists of peanut butter creme cookies, fudge-coated peanut brittle, and either Chocolate Peanut Butter Yummy Chow (which is made with a combination of corn and wheat biscuits or peanut butter cereal squares [think Chex cereal]).
From what I can tell, the cereal mix that I got looked to be made with the biscuits rather than the peanut butter cereal squares as I didn't detect any of the lattice texture of the cereal squares when eating the McFlurry. Instead, I got a lightly-sweetened crunch from small cookies pieces as well as a fair amount of granular/sandy cookie crumbs. However, it wasn't clear which of the crumbs and pieces were from the peanut butter creme cookies and which were from the Chocolate Peanut Butter Yummy Chow. The crunch and crumbs of the cookies/biscuits contrasted nicely with the fairly smooth and decently thick texture from the soft serve.
Additionally texture came from the peanut brittle, which wasn't notable for any crunch but rather for a chewiness that stuck to my teeth.
I didn't detect any peanut butter creme as far as texture went but there was an enjoyable amount of milk chocolate and peanut butter flavors throughout the McFlurry to go along with the mild vanilla notes and creaminess of the soft serve.
For the most part, the Peanut Butter Crunch McFlurry felt like the discontinued Reese's McFlurry but with the addition of crumbled biscuit cookies and sticky brittle. As a fan of the Reese's McFlurry, I enjoyed it immensely.
