A 8.8-oz package was $3.49.
The cocoa wafers offered an airy, latticed crispiness layered with thickened layers of smooth creme. They're nice to crunch on or you can crushed them in your mouth for an interesting experience as the layers collapse.
Flavor-wise, there's a pretty deep, slightly creamy and creamy chocolate flavor throughout. There might be the barest hint of hazelnut to the proceeding so if you're looking for a Nutella-type flavor, this isn't it.
Overall, Trader Joe's Double Chocolate Wafers make for very chocolaty wafer sandwiches that are ideal for those who want a delicate crispy crunch paired with chocolate and plenty of it. I, however, wish there was a bit more hazelnut or maybe a hint of vanilla for a more rounded, nuanced flavor.
